What are my Crystal must-haves? 

This is a question I get asked all the time. 

In all honesty, I always recommend trusting your instincts and choosing what you actually feel drawn to. I truly believe that deep down we know exactly what we need at the moment. So, have a look and feel then pick the crystal you like. Normally when you look at the properties of that stone, you will be shocked to find it’s perfect for you and what you need. 

Your intuition knows best, always. 

Saying that, however, if you are starting out with crystals here are a few must have starter crystals that I think are perfect as you begin your journey into crystal exploration. With these in your collection, you will have a beautiful variety of powerful properties to support your everyday life. 

I would suggest initially investing in Tumblestones, simply because they are so affordable, so are an easy and quick way to grow your collection and get a feel for their energy. 

My Top 6 Starter Crystals 

Clear Quartz 

Clear quartz is the most popular crystal and an extremely versatile starter crystal. It is the most powerful stone for healing, thought to be able to work on any condition; hence its nickname ‘The Master Healer.’ 

It is known as the stone of power and amplifies any energy or intention. So, it is ideal to place with your other stones to amplify their properties further. 

Clear quartz is said to protect against negativity and help connect you to your higher self.

Amethyst

Amethyst’s healing properties are as plentiful as the stone itself. It is thought of mostly as a calming stone. 

As it is linked to the crown chakra, amethyst is helpful in purifying the mind and clearing it of negative thoughts. This includes the negativity of stress and anxiety, which is why many meditate with amethyst so as to rid themselves of that darkness. 

Amethyst healing properties are especially useful in regards to work-related stress, because the stone is also associated with abundance; therefore relieving stress while emanating prosperity.

Rose Quartz is often referred to as the ‘love stone’ and is a popular starter crystal.

Its energy is that of unconditional love which opens up the heart chakra.

It is the perfect stone for all types of love: self-love, family, friends and romance.

Having this with you will be a great reminder to love yourself wholly, and can also attract more love into your life.

Tigers Eye

Tigers Eye has so many incredible properties. It helps release fear and anxiety, so will therefore aid harmony and balance in your life. 

This starter crystal is good for mental clarity and helps you with clear decision making. 

It also stimulates action so will help you to move forward and start hitting those goals and desires. 

Tigers Eye is a stone of protection that may bring good luck.

It is also a good stone to use when working with the Solar Plexus Chakra Point as it helps to raise self-confidence and self-esteem. 

Sodalite
